Talking in Dreams Possible…! Scientists have Found the Way
Talking in dreams is possible…! Yes, you heard it correctly. REMspace, a startup based in California has claimed to communicate messages between two individuals sleeping with lucid dreaming.
This milestone, if successfully improved, can open new ways for solving numerous psychological problems and new skills.
The Talking in Dream Experiment: How REMspace did that
- The experiment involves two individuals who were put to REM sleep through special devices made by the company itself.
- They both once entered lucid dreaming, made a specific sound that was captured by the system, and converted into a messaging language called Remmyo.
- The system again sent this remmyo to the person via earbuds who caught and repeated the word in his dreams.
- A few minutes later the second individual also received the messages of the first one in his lucid dreams and recalled the same after waking up.
The Phenomenon Behind this Sleep Science
The phenomenon of lucid dreaming takes place during Rapid Eye Movement (REM). This is also the time when our brains are most active. REMspace’s scientists have developed the system with the combination of neuroscience and technology to encode sound that generates during REM sleeping.
The company through this, not only defined the potential of communication while dreaming, but also showcased possibilities for mental health therapy and skill acquisition applications.
Will Talking in Dreams Become the Next Frontier of Communication?
After the first successful communication, the company is trying to make it better and getting a success in it. They wanted to make it more subtle and easy for the public to use it.
Michael Raduga, Founder and CEO recently said “Yesterday, it was just another concept of a science fiction movie but due to the hard work of today, tomorrow it will become a part of our daily lives.”
It is evident, they are trying to upgrade technology to the level where a human can talk, learn, and hold a meeting while sleeping. Isn’t it interesting…?
